Rejuvenating old markets of Ujjain

Ujjain is known primarily for Mahakaal temple. It is a heritage structure of high value and creates an epicenter in the city attracting lakhs of tourists from all over the country. Yet, the high footfall has been unable to vitalize Ujjain's local economy. An upliftment of the old markets, which form the identity and character of core of Ujjain by improving physical infrastructure would work towards improving its public image, capitalizing on high footfall and improving the local economy.
