The primary objective of our Studio-II, "Construction Project Execution, Monitoring, and Control," was to investigate the execution and monitoring stages of the project life cycle. To achieve this, we selected a commercial project situated in GIFT City, Gandhinagar, as our subject of study to explore the practical applications of project execution and monitoring based on our academic knowledge. The study encompassed various aspects of the project during its execution phase, such as analyzing pre-construction activities, planning and assessing the most suitable site layout, and evaluating the project's contract and administration. To provide a better understanding of the project's progress, a 3D Revit model of the site was developed, and photographic updates were recorded on a weekly basis. Additionally, the study included the identification, assessment, and management of potential risks associated with the project using Primavera Risk Analyzer Software. The execution phase also involved an in-depth analysis of quality management, as well as material and inventory management, using various parameters. Various Lean tools, including Value Stream Mapping, Foreman Delay Survey, and Mistake Proofing, were applied on the site to enhance ongoing construction activities.
