The goal of our Studio-II "Construction Project Execution, Monitoring, and Control" was to study the construction and execution phase of the project life cycle. A Commercial project on Sindhu Bhawan Road in Ahmedabad was chosen to examine the applications of project execution and monitoring from our academic learning. Various aspects of a project in the execution phase were covered by analyzing the factors of Pre-Construction Activities, planning and analyzing the most appropriate site layout, and studying the project’s Contract and its Administration. A 3D Revit model of current site progress was prepared for better visualization of the project. Weekly photographic progress was also tracked. The study also involved the planning and monitoring of the risks associated with the project in Primavera Risk Analyzer Software. Also, during the execution phase, Quality management, material and inventory management were studied in-depth on various parameters. For enhancing the ongoing construction activities, different Lean tools like Value Stream Mapping, Foreman Delay Survey and Mistake-Proofing were applied on the site. A green building rating system was studied and applied on the project.
