Walking in Harmony: Creating Pedestrian-Friendly Spaces

The project is a study of Manek Chowk Rd. We all know, streets have the ability to unite a diverse group of socioeconomic backgrounds and employ millions of traders in India alone, but this is an aspect that receives little attention. This strength of the street attracts vendors and vending activities to the street. So it began by documenting and analyzing the street, such as footpath widths, parking, and particular operations such as loading and unloading coconuts at the fruit market. Furthermore, the suggested design considers increasing pedestrian mobility and providing thermal comfort to street sellers through green infrastructure.
