Connecting Communities

The site has lack of community engaging amenities in a walkable distance. The project aims to provide community engagement at walkable proximity on site for residentials, shop owners, shoppers or people who own Godown. To make this kind of space a very unique part of site was identified - ‘Tankshal ni Pol‘, where once coins were made. This place is filled with Godowns as well as wholesale shops, so not many people go there and one of the main points, it only has one entrance, which makes it a closed space. To make amenities here, concept of adding hierarchy of open space was added using visibility mapping, then concept of occupying and connecting was used to get points of intervention and after those programs like Amphitheatre, art exhibition, sustainable park or library were added.
