Walking Experience

Old Ahmedabad is declared as a World Heritage site. The site we have that is Kalupur ward 2 includes the Heritage walk route. On our site there are around 89 heritage buildings and in the heritage walking route there are 32 heritage buildings among which there are attractors also. There are some heritage buildings or buildings which have intricate designs which are not clearly visible . The method of remapping helped in 10%-20%-30% of removal of the area of the building from which a analysis was done where minimum and maximum range were sorted for each program leading to only required removal without destroying the natural fabric of the city. The programs like cafe, handicrafts, display area, pocket rest area are for making the walk more engaging. The method was not applied to the Grade 2A buildings and the building nearby, Temples.
