In-situ slum redevelopment policy is adopted on the settlements which have higher density, where enough investments are made but there is not enough space to provide emergency services and settlements are on high-value land and in order to unlock the land. To provide houses to eligible slum dwellers by bringing them into the formal urban settlement and to improve their livelihood, habitat, and social capital through PMAY, In-Situ Slum Redevelopment under PPP model. This target could be achieved through enhanced policy framework and standard operating procedures and boost the slum dweller’s social capital, habitat, and means of livelihood.
