G2_P3_RESETTLEMENT AND REHABILATION OF SLUMS

Every city experiences the challenge of housing affordability, thus it is critical to identify the root of the issue and offer remedies, which is everyone's right. The studio's primary goal was to solve the problem of housing affordability and the expansion of housing options in Vadodara city that are suitable for all income levels. This portfolio will concentrate on the interventions suggested for the relocation and rehabilitation of slums on untenable slums and how the current activity in the city is flawed due to ambiguous R&R policies and eventually results in vertical slums post-relocation due to a lack of consideration for the rehabilitation.
