The HVAC Lab covers principles of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning through theory and experimentation. The feasible optimization of HVAC systems is of crux as HVAC energy usage can account for up to 65% of a building's overall energy performance. The studio covers various topics including ventilation standards, thermodynamics of refrigeration, different types of HVAC systems, and optimization of them for comfort & energy efficiency. Comprehensive assessment through simulation is an effective tool used in the studio for understanding HVAC in detail.
