Humanizing the vertical

The pursuit of providing a sufficient number of contemporary housing towers is non-conducive to the well-being of inhabitants in today's rapidly growing era. In response, the project seeks to establish an integrated vertical community within Surat's DREAM city. By acknowledging the issues associated with high-rise buildings, including limited open space, vertical segregation and visual discontinuity, the design solution  incorporates multiple public terraces and three-dimensional voids. These elements enhance connectivity and continuity, mitigating the negative effects of the point block typology and fostering  a sense of community, promoting the well-being of its inhabitants.
