Clair et Spacieux, Chittorgarh

Clair et Spacieux, the visitor center in Chittorgarh has been made after studying Jean Nouvel's attitudes . The project has been provided with louvre jalis on all sides to combat the sun and furthermore frame the views of the visitors. The spaces have been kept continuous to break compartments. The interior has been kept spacious to allow more air flow in and out hence Clair et Spacieux, i.e. airy. Courtyards have been considered as the main feature of the design to index towards the local architecture. Everything opens up to the surroundings, the town, the palace and the trees.
