Shreyas School is a unique site with the classrooms scattered all along the site rather than confining it to a single building. This enables a student to walk through the nature to move from one place to another. It follows montessori method of learning which is based on self-directed activity, hands on learning and collaborative play. The same ideology is futher enhanced through the landscape design by making it interactive in terms of various senses. Firstly the main program is assigned a particular suitable sense as per it’s function. The same sense is continued on to the pathway adjoining the space. This is done so in terms of various vegetation species relevant to each sense when one moves through the site. The material of the pathway also changes with stark contrast so one can feel the change of texture as they move through the space. All these experiences are designed as a medium of learning while enjoying, which usually happens outside of the classroom subconsciously.
