SWINGING SHELL - A PLACE TO EXPRESS

The area itself, which is now a component of a bigger picture, is transformed into a dramatic illustration of its inherent essence. Amidst the turbulence and drama caused by the conflict between the showcase and the performance, both of which were competing to be the story’s protagonist and outperform the other, was born contemplation, the oasis of quiet amid the storm. When they clash, the lines between them dissolve, and they spread as smaller leftovers of the debate.  The kitchen’s presence enhances the perception of this unusual composition as it is presented to the public. The space, which is in Ahmedabad, was created as an addition to the CEPT campus and combines the acts of performance and display under an elliptical roof.
