A Dynamic Performance - Ramlila

Ramlila performed in different regions display different theatrical forms - is taken here as a periodic event of 12 days in the setting of Shivala Ghat at Banaras. It is consisted of 12 different scenes depicting stories unfolding in the life of Lord Rama showcasing dynamic performance of emotions, shifting locations, transitions in relations, and diverse characters. The relationship between devotees and Gods take multiple forms which requires diverse settings as theatrical form.
