Elements of Urban Design Studio I Spring-2023

Module 1: was designed to make the students aware of the urban interventions or issues in their own cities. The Dakshineshwar Skywalk was identified as a decongestion methodology connecting all the modes of transport with one of the most prominent temples of the city. Module 2: was designed to develop a strategic understanding of Urban Blocks where the chosen block, in this case, was in Athens, Greece. A route was imagined that would take Urban enthusiasts through all the urban spaces in the block. Module 3: Ramdev Nagar Road Ahmedabad was chosen as the design exercise for reimagining the street from a fresh perspective.
