The studio was divided into three stages to analyse the Elements of Urban Design. The first segment of the studio was a literature study of an Urban Design Intervention in own city. In this case review of Katra Ahluwalia, Amritsar was done. The second segment was about understanding the Urban blocks and, in that context, major landmarks like The Gateway of India, Kala Ghoda Statue & The Colaba Causeway of Mumbai were studied in detail. The final segment was a design exercise. The Urban Voids at Sabarmati River front were analysed by frequent site visits and later design proposals were given to promote safety and community engagement. The approach was to optimally use the Urban Dead Space at Sabarmati River Front under Saradar Bridge.
