The so-called twin cities of Bharuch and Ankleshwar are situated in Gujarat's southern area, which has experienced significant industrial growth due to its superior connectivity and water availability. Along with other industrial communities nearby like PCPIR, Jhagadia, and Vilayath, both industrial towns include three GIDCs: Bharuch, Ankleshwar, and Panoli.
The concept therefore emphasises having a thorough understanding of the existing markets of both cities and seeks to revive them through a strong transit network and land use, therefore catering to better living conditions in a sustainable manner.
