Mauhala is a neighborhood design concept that aims to create a dynamic and adaptable community in Seelampur. The design will be based on the needs and demands of the informal market in the area, emphasizing participatory design and customization of individual spaces. Using an ephemeral approach will allow for incremental growth and adaptation to the community's changing needs over time. This approach will respond to changing community needs or test out new urban ideas before committing to permanent changes. The participatory approach of Mauhala will allow the community to choose and customize their own spaces, making the neighborhood more inclusive and welcoming for all. It is often used to activate underutilized spaces, revitalize urban areas, and encourage community engagement and participation in the design process. By imitating the existing mechanisms of Seelampur, the master plan hopes to revitalize the district center and create a vibrant and functional community.
