The first semester was divided into 3 modules - each specifically designed to accommodate the new online mode of learning. The first module was to familiarize us with the built and unbuilt environment of Panjrapol, a neighbourhood in old Ahmedabad. The second module focused on investigating various media of representation and analysing what inferences they offer. The third module was a culmination of the entire semester towards a transformative narrative of Panjrapol. The topic of investigation in my case was how materiality of a column affected the ornamentation and how it led to ornamentation being transformed over time.
