Surat located on western part of Gujarat, is the economic capital of Gujarat and the fourth fastest growing city globally. Also known as "Diamond city", "Silk City", "Green City".  City Infrastructure Planning involves the planning and management of the infrastructure facilities. Surat, as a city was studied on a macro level and then based on the potential areas, Palsana has been selected as the study area for micro level analysis and the identification of issues followed by pilot projects.
