Underground Metro Rail Project

This studio requires an in-depth study of a live project in which we have undertaken the Underground Metro Station & Tunneling Project to study various aspects of Project Management. Infrastructure includes the services and facilities necessary for its economy to function & metro’s role in developing country is vital, which has been undertaken to understand the relationship between different activities ongoing at the site and suggesting improvements wherever required. In Construction Execution, Control and Monitoring studio work focused on the Planning and Execution phase of the project. We defined our scope and we did various exercises which include Pour Planning, Project Site Layout Planning and Analysis, Contract Administration, 3D Model creation of site layout using REVIT (BIM), Planning and Scheduling in Primavera, Insurance Policies, Material Management, Equipment Management, Quality Management, Safety Management, Management Information System, Earned Value Management, Risk Management, Line of Balance and Lean techniques like Value Stream Mapping & Foreman Delay Survey. Some of the above-mentioned topics are highlighted in this portfolio.
