Spring is one of the temperate seasons that refers to ideas of rebirth, rejuvenation, renewal, celebration and regrowth. A season of change, it rescues us from the suffering that has come of long, cold winter months. The days grow longer, crops are harvested and festivals are welcomed. Nature is at its highest order, celebrating through picturesque floral beds, chirping of birds and seasonal springtime harvest. Springtime brings back memories of people, things and events from the past. It sets a very relaxed undertone with feelings of nostalgia and joy of doing nothing. However short-lived, there is a sense of unity and joy embracing this period. This is an attempt to understand the meanings of spring keeping in view the bigger theme of “Sync with Nature”-respecting the earth, other species and the environment. Spring is explored making use of the four senses of touch, smell, vision and sound. The installations are inspired from simple geometrical forms, but in essence represents the theme through sensorial experiences, colour palette and artificial ambience. The user is free to interpret each installation as per his/her memories of Spring.
