According to the report of the Times of India, 54% people live in rented house in different cities of India. These people are mostly depending on their monthly income. Due to Covid-19, lots of people lost their jobs or are not getting the amount which, they previously used to get, so they are not able to pay rents. Due to that scenario people are migrating to their villages from city, which increases the chance of Covid-19 spreading to the villages where their own family was living. For that I am proposing a project named “Shamiyana” which means a space that protect or provide shade. This project will be a compact house for the families migrating from the cites to their villages. So, this project will become a barrier from spreading of Covid-19 to their village family members. Project Shamiyana contain spaces which are multifunctional and can be usef according to the time and requirement. Shamiyana will be sustainable and rapidly constructed house which will be easy to transport from one place to the other. This house will depend on natural resources like sunlight, water harvesting system . Shamiyana will be placed on the deadlands near to their own villages or cites. For that I have chosen a site which is in the northern region of Gujarat, near to the mountain series Aravalli. The site is located at a flat agriculture land near to Isri village.
