DASTARKHAN - Capturing food of Sarkhej Community

Dropbox is a container that is placed within community settlement to address their needs, stimulate the cultural and physiological identity of its inhabitants. The “Dastarkhan “ means a place for people to gather, a place for everyone to celebrate. A totally different experience created for the people within the community. It means traditional ways of cooking food and eating. It means all the special ingredients added to the food which makes food to belong to those people only. Making sarkhej more of a touristy site. Making people to stop by and taste the culture and their community. Dastarkhan will understand cultural identity and heritage through food as food brings people closer. Dastarkhan is an urban interior project which enhances the living needs within the context.
