Open Lands and The Neighbourhood

Beginning with drawing out a manual that lays out aspects that are exclusionary in the public realm, with the knowledge of which, we move towards designing a part of the eastern waterfront of Mumbai under the Mumbai Port Trust (MbPT).
Opening up of MbPT land leads to the question of what happens to the vacant lands apart from letting it develop majorly by the will of the real estate market. From the many possibilities, what can be one approach in developing those vacant lands, knowing that Mumbai lacks public spaces, with aim of bringing about inclusion.
