The city of Mumbai is prone to getting affected by issues relating to climate change such as Sea Level Rise and Coastal Flooding. The development of Eastern Waterfront, Mumbai serves as a perfect opportunity to adopt ways to reduce its impact and opt for an ecologically sensitive approach towards economic development. The project is interpreted as a prototype to demonstrate strategies that can be implemented across the Eastern Coast or any other city where this problem chronically exists. It also builds on the need of social amenities, city's attractions and a friendly connection of people with water.
