BRIDGING FAMILIARTIES BETWEEN HOME & ELSEWHERE

We constantly live in a notion of home & elsewhere when in another city or country. A new city is foreseen as an idea of elsewhere. Only a certain level of familiarity, helps us bridge the void between our home and the new destination. Sometimes, when we are in another city, we don’t find the place and the peo- ple familiar and hence it makes us uncomfortable. But, the functionality and utility of that space is similar to the one we experience in our daily lives. This is the notion that creates familiarity between the two.
