A rapidly developing town like Manipal tends to see the town exclusively for humans. The urban nature, in turn, is fragile and threatened and the resources degraded and scarce. The project set on the banks of Mannapalla lake is a critical manifestation of the built environment in a public realm. The research, rescue, and rehabilitation centre for birds raise awareness as well as invigorate researchers, enthusiasts, volunteers and visitors. The project explores architecture that allows mutual reinforcement of the co-existence of both
