Terrain Vague - They are just uncertain, un-safe and un-inhabited land forming an interior island of activity and oversight. People’s perception towards the Terrain Vague/ Voids_ a place - to store urban rubbish, dump yard, snake hole, hub for unsocial activities, barely noticed etc. A realtor’s perception towards the Terrain Vague_ most of them take only the freely available concept of land and try to superimpose the space. The project is to develop an urban park in the terrain vague of Tiruchirapalli, Tamilnadu to conserve the fortuitous urban void from being misused and encroached by people and realtors respectively and to make the best use of the terrain without disturbing its nature. An urban park would be the unparalleled solution since it is multifunctional, ecological and cultural, open to their users and even open to the city.
