Today there are no public spaces in Tier-II cities which encourage social interaction and economic wellbeing. These spaces are very important and act as a bridge between different stakeholders and new connections arise. This Area is cyclone hazard-prone and gets badly affected. Many homeless people find it difficult during these times.
Hence the project proposes dual-functional spaces for cyclone refugees during cyclone times and in normal days it can be used for other functions like a training centre, exhibitions etc. and also creating an open urban space for people of the neighbourhood.
