Learning the Fundamentals of Conservation

The studio aims at developing the basics, through a series of modules that focus on imparting a holistic approach towards the process of heritage conservation. The first two modules aimed at developing the knowledge of documentation and analysis to interpret the values associated with historic sites. The next two modules were based on the knowledge of traditional building materials and the various approaches related to structural conservation. The last two modules involved studying the various key texts and ethics in conservation necessary to build a better understanding of conservation and roles of the professionals involved in the process.
