Kottayam has the highest destruction and disruption rate on the paddy fields due to the boom in industrialization. Which in turn has lead to environmental issues such as flooding, landslide, and pollution. The losing ownership of these properties is the main reason for its destruction and turning into dump yards. Therefore, there is a need in preserving the wetlands. This could be done by bringing up ownership and by providing a leisure space for the locals. Hence, a product or furniture is required to enhance the space through art which in turn would preserve the wetlands by the active participation of locals.
