Social Production of Urban Space - Neighborhood Level

Speculative Design Intervention for Neighborhood level existing urban space ( neighborhood parks) to create a community place in new urban development of Ahmedabad city. The context of study will be communities of all the neighborhoods in immediate physical contact. The design intervention will be humanizing and redeveloping the urban space and the built edge using the place theory approach. The studio follows in the ideologies and principals of Jan Gehl, Amos Rapport and Christian Norberg Schulz to understand the human element of built space.
