Neighbourhood Redevelopment Project

Bansidhar Neighbourhood is a residential area in the heart of the city of Ahmedabad. It is located in Paldi area, consisting of pre - dominantly jain community. The area is centred by a neighbourhood park and the built form surrounds it. The site has various attractors and activities surrounding the park and all the residents come down to the park for there daily chores. The neighbourhood is sparsely dense with a house type of bungalow typology on its immediate periphery and row houses and apartments towards the back. Being an Indian community, a lot of social daily patterns take place and the project also focus- es on how those patterns occur through various user groups.
