In the recent times we have observed a consistent decline in the quality and character of outdoor spaces created. These spaces today are more of engineered spaces which have lost the quality and character to serve  for human experience. Therefore the redevelopment schemes proposed for the residential neighborhood can be optimistically utilized to redesign these open spaces responding to the physical and socio-cultural aspects. The project here is one such attempt inspired by the urban design place-making theories of Jan Gehl and Christian Noberg Schulz covering the aspects of phenomenology of place and the lively, safe, sustainable and healthy city aspects.
