The HVAC LAB focuses on understanding the impact of environmental parameter on HVAC consumption in buildings. The first half of the semester highlights on PM concentration and Air Infiltration through building envelope in context to environmental variables. Working of sensors and analyzing the variation in results when different sensors are used to measure the same parameter. The second half of the semester anchors on HVAC optimization which is automatically controlling the equipment as a holistic system, around the clock, to use the least amount of energy without compromising the performance.
