The proposal came out from a study of the existing situation. The aim is to target the final step of the value chain i.e. Disposal of waste in Ahmedabad. Since only 26% of waste is treated and the rest all are dumped on pirana, the project shows a study of Pirana closure, phasing for bio-mining of pirana undergoing by AMC, Scenario building, post-closure possible uses, and analysis of gyaspur scientific landfill.
