Public conveniences serves the need to eliminate the open defecation in the city. As 1000+ of the families in Ahmedabad are defecating in open as per a NGO survey, with the revision of the existing public toilets it would cater to the needs of the people in the times of absence of a individual household toilet. Public toilets also improve the aesthetic appearance of the city which in turn improves the economic, livelihood, environmental situations of the city & would likely to reach the SDG goals such as SDG 3 , SDG 6, SDG 11 making a city sustainable.
