Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary lies in the southern Western Ghats and is home to a very special kind of forest. The project identifies these fragile ecosystems that are hotspots to numerous rare endemic flora that were believed to be lost for a long time. The journey along the riparian forests by the first-order streams of Kumaradhara river that are hidden and protected inside the deep forests will reveal some of these very rare species like Madhuca insignia, and many other associated species of flora and fauna. The pause by one of these first-order streams inside the forest Vs the banks of a second-order stream where the forests are replaced by plantations makes one realize the loss.
