Bopal is a commuter town, where there is a stark segregation of public ad private realm because of the self-contained societies with all the amenities within its boundary walls, thus refraining its residents to go out and have a healthy social interaction. To break these boundaries a new brick arcaded system have been proposed, replacing the boundary walls and creating a new urban interface which then act as a threshold increasing leisure activities and social interaction. This new corridor system intend to interweave the inside and the outside environment, becoming a common ground for both residents and passersby.
