The semester is divided into two parts. First Lighting and daylighting, in which learning starts with basics, daylit buildings and its limitations, energy-efficient fixtures. sDA, UDI, ASE and UGR are the parameters to be measured for appropriate lighting design. In the second half we step into the professional world with a whole building simulation report, which evaluating the building in all three aspects Passive comfort, system design and operation and lighting as a part of energy-efficient building design. This is the sum up of all the learnings about building energy performance. Also looking at the ROI and LCCA is making the study more relevant for the real world.
