Lighting and Integrated Design Lab is the major module in the 3rd semester of the M.BEP program. This module is mainly divided into 2 parts.
part-01 covers the introduction of all lighting parameters and lays out several assignments including designing artificial lighting in DIALux evo, daylight assessment, and daylight optimization for metrics like sDA, UDA, ASE in LightStanza according to IES LM-83-12 standard.
Part-02 of this module is called Whole Building Desing. In this part, each student is given a building in this case a G+6 Hospital building. And using an integrated design approach with several analysis methods like elimination parameter analysis, life cycle cost analysis, and climate analysis, comfort analysis students turn that building into a highly energy-efficient building that ensures the health and wellbeing of occupants.
