Lighting and Whole building design lab

The semester was divided into 2 modules. In first principles of daylighting  were studied. various daylighting matrices like daylight factor, spatial daylight autonomy and annual solar exposure were studied. In the second module a subject building was taken for study and whole building design measures were applied to reduce the energy use by up to 50 % compared to base case . A workflow was setup in which first passive energy conservation measures were applied which were later supported by active ECMs.
