The Active City | Integrated Greenfield Development

Urban centers are ever-growing and to suffice the development needs newer townships are coming up which can be seen as a synonym to contemporary neighborhoods, emerging with a central Idea. The active city is an integrated greenfield development project on the outskirts of Ahmedabad. The project was structured in three segments to strengthen the central idea of creating an active city. The first segment was about site contextualization and analysis. The second segment focussed on creating a conceptual framework for the proposed township project and the final segment was to put together an active city master plan with a design framework. The active city intends to create an urban environment that promotes a healthy lifestyle as a natural part of everyday life.
