As the National highway – 8 is one of the busiest National highways in India, connecting Mumbai, Surat, Ahmedabad, and Delhi. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has been entrusted with the Development, Maintenance and management of such of the highways as entrusted to it by MORT&H, the Government. Under National Highway Development Program (NHDP), Phase-V, the Government of India has decided to convert same of the existing highway into six lane highway. The existing 2 lane Flexible Pavement Project road traverses Mota Chiloda, Prantiya, GIFT City, Firozpur, Valad, Limbadiya and Nana Chiloda villages, all in Gandhinagar District of Gujarat.
