The studio journey encountered various episodes in dealing with public buildings, understanding their edge conditions, decoding their functioning, their contextual and historical response and evolution over time and through the advent of technology and resources. The upcoming metro project in the city is seen as an opportunity and attempted to embed it in the neighbourhood while understanding the site and the immediate neighbourhood. Infrastructure in the city are usually very generic in nature and they do not gel well with the neighbourhood thus creating ruptures in the existing city fabric. Can these ruptures be articulated in a way that could embed the infrastructure in the neighbourhood and stitch the existing ruptures through a network of metro stations (portal)?
