The transit infrastructure in the developing countries is often percieved as isolated robust structures which has no relationship with its immediate context. This project attempts to develop conceptual and critical approach to architecture design of such buildings where they are not seen as isolated events but that they get embedded in the fabric of the city.
The Larger Premise for the Project is a Green Axis (Green Infrastructure) which runs on old railway line through Center of the city creating and connecting network of green public spaces in and around it.This project is seen as an intersection of Transit infrastructure and green Infrastructure. The project aims to celebrate the idea of Green and act as a catalyst that would spark a new urban networks with interconnected public spaces, green areas, pedestrian accesibilty in hope to start transformation from within transforming the semi arid city to greener one that values the importance of public space, sustainbilty and preservation of Enviroment.
