The dance pavilion is placed within the Sarkhej Roza complex. The structure is located with reference to the central axis of the Queen's and King's palace. The pavilion is a multi-functional space that acts as a resting spot, could also turn into a gathering space. The structure houses a kinetic element that acts as a shading system. The brief was to exhibit kinetic elements while my intent was to explore the spatial quality and create a drama of light and shadow, as light and shadow create a path which naturally guides the body and allows it to freely move in comparison to the body dwelling in a confined location.
