Sarkhej Roza complex, an architectural master piece is a context chosen for the kinetic pavilion. The intent of the design is to increase interaction of community with world heritage site Sarkhej Roza and to develop a structure that itself exhibits kinetic element.
The structure is located in front of queen’s pavilion in the tank. The structure is a multi functional pavilion that has platform for open amphitheater, internal space for communal gatherings, meetings and cultural and social activities. As the structure is a kinetic pavilion, the facade works as the screen and shading element simultaneously as per requirement to serve different functions. It also provides beautiful panoramic views of entire complex, in which kinetic element plays a crucial role.
Design of pavilion respects the language existing queen’s pavilion. The idea is to provide nice spatial experiences of this space to its user, by play of light and shadows and also by grace of facade that ultimately connect user with the space.
