INDIAN MUSEUM OF ARTS

The unbuilt project of I M Pei- the Shanghai museum for Chinese art had been converted to Indian Museum. Learning from his attributes and ideologies, the museum has been transported to Ahmedabad and is designed accordingly. The Indian museum of art and culture on the riverfront in Ahmedabad is a museum that celebrates both Indian architecture with modernity and the its Art and Culture. With elements like Jharokhas, Jalis and courtyards amalgamating with brick and concrete materials brings out a different essence to the building.
